I am a long-term customer (5+ years) and I am disgusted by how this branch is managed.1. Hygiene Issues & Financial Loss: I was forced to move out of my unit because of a persistent pigeon infestation. Bird droppings were everywhere, causing actual damage to my business stock and financial loss. Despite my complaints, Safestore failed to provide a clean environment fit for storage.2. Poor Communication & Late Fees: When I returned my keys on 12th Jan, I objected to the overcharged final bill. I asked for a manager to call me, but they ignored me. I emailed customer service, and despite their promise of a 48-hour response, it has been over 96 hours with no reply at all. Instead of addressing my concerns, the manager is only interested in chasing money and even charged me a "penalty fee" because I paused my Direct Debit while waiting for their explanation.3. Neglected Maintenance: My other active unit has had a damaged door that is extremely difficult to open since Christmas 2024. They ignored my repair requests for over a year, only offering to fix it now that I am closing my other account.4. Unprofessional Threats: The manager even threatened to lock my other fully-paid unit over this billing dispute.The management here doesn't care about your property or customer service; they only care about taking your money. Avoid at all costs.
