It is my first time renting a storage unit in Germany and the Shurgard team made it an excellent experience. Shurgard gave a great offer for the first month with a rent of 1€. The online contract signing process was easy and only took a few minutes. When I arrived at the storage unit location, Mr. Tim Weiß was friendly and offered to speak in English as he gave me a tour of the place. He understood our requirements and explained the different units available, so we decided to change our contract from a 2m² to 4m² unit. The contract change was also fast an easy. A cool feature with Shurgard is the app which unlocks the doors for you and gives you quick access.

The service was amazing! From the moment I booked the storage space I quickly received all necessary details and the team contacted me to make sure everything went smoothly. The building has a driveway to easily unload your things, which is accessible with your personal pass code. The code and all needed info regarding your storage space are automatically provided to you the day before your move-in date, and this gives you additional feeling of security. There are carts to easily move your things and two big elevators. If you are moving in during the office hours, the office staff is very friendly and happy to help you and show you the way to your storage. There are indeed the additional costs of insurance and lock (if you don't have your own), but I would say that it is still affordable and you can also score some good promotions on their website. I was very happy to leave my things with Shurgard!
