The process of booking the storage online was easy but it's the opposite when you arrive to actually use your unit. The process the staff had to go through to give me my storage unit seemed ludicrously long given the fact I had already checked-in online. Easily 20-30 min of waiting for their computer to do something.My other frustration with the booking in process was the upselling. I was told I would need to buy a lock even though I had one with me that fit the locking mechanism of the unit perfectly. I was also handed a dust sheet and told it was part of the "welcome pack" I was not told I had been charged £7 for it (found out a few days later when I got an email invoice). On the website it mentions that their would be a discussion about insurance options but their was no discussion as it was just added to the bill which is a hidden cost not mentioned on the website.In summary Big Yellow storage need to be clearer about pricing, both in store and online. Also maybe upgrade your POS system so it's faster.The one thing I was impressed with was the App for accessing the storage unit, very responsive and intuitive to use.

We are so impressed by how kind and considerate the team are at this branch. Judith and Declan were quick to understand our needs and accommodate us. They are always smiley and willing to help. We never used Big Yellow before but think it will be our one and only self storage choice from now on. Bug shout out to the lovely team and facilities here.
