Since opening its first site in Vienna over 20 years ago, MyPlace has expanded continuously throughout the DACH region. Today the company represents around 25–30% of the total market volume and continues to grow through strategic location selection, strong customer service and robust regional networks.

Services

Transport and moving assistance

MyPlace offers comprehensive support for transport and moving through selected regional partners. Customers can book professional moving help, vehicle rentals or complete relocation services directly through MyPlace. In many regions, new tenants can benefit from special assistance offers such as:

• A free rental transporter for one day (incl. 100 free kilometres, insurance and fuel excluded)
• One hour of free moving assistance with a truck and two helpers (minimum booking of three hours)

Tenants also receive discounts of up to 15% on transport vehicle rentals via MyPlace’s partner SIXT.

Packing materials

To ensure safe storage, MyPlace provides high-quality boxes, protective covers and packing materials that meet the company’s internal professional standards. Staff can also offer guidance on how to pack and protect goods efficiently for transport and long-term storage.

Shelving for organised storage

MyPlace offers durable shelving options suitable for documents, books, archive boxes or structured storage layouts. These shelves can be purchased on site and are designed for easy assembly and safe load distribution.

Disposal services

If customers wish to discard items during a move or decluttering process, MyPlace cooperates with regional disposal partners who offer special rates for tenants. All arrangements can be coordinated directly via the selected location.

Insurance coverage

MyPlace requires tenants to insure their stored goods against burglary, vandalism, fire, water damage and natural hazards. Customers can either use their existing household insurance or opt for MyPlace’s basic insurance through Donauversicherung (Germany/Austria) or Helvetia (Switzerland).

The basic insurance (€6 / CHF 6 per 4 weeks) covers goods up to €4,000 / CHF 4,000. Additional coverage can be added in increments of €1,000 / CHF 1,000.

Package acceptance

MyPlace offers a free package acceptance service for private and business tenants. Deliveries can be shipped directly to the storage location (with prior arrangement), making it easier for customers to manage packages even when they are not on site.

Cooperation partners

Customers benefit from an extended network of partner services ranging from temporary housing and workspace solutions to mobility benefits and support for returning from abroad. These partnerships help customers manage life transitions smoothly.

Rentable parking spaces

At select locations, MyPlace provides secure indoor and outdoor parking spaces for vehicles such as trailers, boats, motorcycles, convertibles, classic cars and more. These spaces:

• are available at any time and cancelable weekly,
• offer weather protection and strong lighting,
• are secured with access control, alarm systems and video surveillance,
• start from €41 per 4-week rental period (with annual prepayment).

Temperature and humidity monitoring

MyPlace ensures stable climate conditions throughout its facilities. Temperature and humidity are monitored continuously, and heating systems operate during winter to prevent frost or moisture issues. Measurement data is available on each location’s page and displayed on site.
