Billy (one of the assistants) was absolutely brilliant I couldnt have asked for better support or monthly fee. Put it this way, i rented 75 square feet of storage. The average charge for other storage centers in Gloucester was around £46 per week and Shurghuard charges only £77 PER MONTH for the same space.
Getting in was simple and straightforward. It was the billing and getting out that let me down.I had to email them because they charged me wrongly during the first few weeks of using the unit. When they didn't get back to me, I chased them up. Originally they said they sent an email of the price breakdown, and so i kindly asked them to resend it only for them to later say 'Sorry we meant we sent a text message' I had relocated abroad.... All the whilst they still haven't answered my initial questions. Managed to squeeze an answer out but poor CS.Finally once i moved out of the unit i went to go do a final check...only for the key to snap inside the lock....
I needed a container for a few months, UK storage were the most competitive due to their 50% discount they have going, I was really surprised how simple setting up my account and how fast I could move in! They supplied me with a free padlock and a security code to enter the compound which really made me feel the place was secure and safe. When I called to tell them I was moving out, the process was again ,simple and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Excellent experience! We moved house during the pandemic and the potential to move a large amount of items into storage while we sorted the two properties out was perfect. It was easy to book and pay for online, finding our storage unit on the site was easy and the key was ready exactly when I asked for it. The site has full 24 hour security and you must have a PIN number to get into and out of the gates. When it came time to leave my storage after a few months it was easy to give notice online and any unused days from my subscription were refunded back to me directly within a couple of days. An easy and effortless experience and if necessary I would certainly use them again.
