Started with Opslagman. Never a problem. Then Shurgard took over. Only problems ever since. On top of it all them raising the price by 30%! Seriously considering moving storage spaces! If you’re new and considering Shurgard, I would highly recommend finding another place because next year you might see the price raised by another 30% since they have the right to do so.Whole storage unit was full of mice and rats. With Opslagman they always had traps and poison everywhere. But with Shurgard, they’ve taken those away. I never had any problems with mice and rats before. I contacted customer service about this but I never heard back from them. All of my stuff is covered in poop and pee and is bitten through.

A maze that is impossible to navigate and the information they give you is not helpful. They said they would give me a discount since it took me 2 hours to find my unit. They kept saying it would come as a refund, and never did. Do not recommend.

Would totally recommend if you want to recreate my experience of paying 122 Euros per month for two years straight to keep my furniture and belongings safe and dry, to find all of my belongings covered in rat faces and urine, as well as mold (I had to throw almost everything I had in this 14m2 unit away, resulting in the loss of multiple thousands of Euros worth of things).When finding this and cancelling my storage unit, I sent emails that were ignored for 2 months. After finally getting a hold of customer service, I was reimbursed for the month that I had already been moved out of the storage unit, and that's it.Would have been cheaper to just leave it on the side of the road for two years and would have gotten the same result.
