From our initial contact by telephone we were impressed by the staff at McGimpsey Removals and this did not diminish, in fact increased. The staff member we were most in contact with was Andrew and from the initial phone conversation he made us feel McGimpsey Brothers could deal with anything. The person who carried out the home survey and quotation (Stephen) gave us very good advice about the removal process. The quotation was competitively priced bearing in mind we were moving from Northern Ireland to England which necessitated a ferry crossing. Initially the furniture was to be picked up on Thursday (the day before completion) and delivered to our new address the following Monday. However, due to an issue with our completion date there was a delay between picking up our furniture and delivering it to our new address, this was also accommodated by McGimpseys and they re-aligned their timings to suit the changes. The guys who packed up our furniture, namely Michael, Cree and Ben were meticulous and friendly. This was also our experience with the guys who delivered the furniture to our new home, Gary and Cory, who had to battle through the wind and rain to get our furniture safely into the house. All of the team members we were in contact with, either on the phone or in person, are a testament to the company and we would highly recommend their services to others.

The team at McGimpseys assisted us with our move in November of 2025, doing so at incredibly short notice as we realised that it wouldn't be possible for us to move all of our belongings safely ourselves as we approached our completion date. Sarah was our main contact during the organisational stages, and was outstandingly helpful throughout, responding very quickly to emails and phone calls, and doing everything possible to ensure that a team were able to assist us on moving day, including maintaining contact on the day itself to ensure that all was going smoothly, and that we had all of the support that we needed.In a similar fashion, the moving crew who assisted us were absolutely fantastic, again going above and beyond to help us, and further to this, were incredibly friendly and supportive throughout, making what could have been a very stressful experience almost enjoyable! The level of experience and expertise offered was exceptional across the day, and the crew went to remarkable lengths to ensure that our possessions were handled with care and delivered to our new property safely with absolutely no damage to any items.I simply couldn't recommend McGimpseys enough to anyone who is in the market for a removal company!

Great company. Gave us notice when they were going to arrive EARLY (which was great!). David and Cree were phenomenal. Took a lot of heavy stuff up stairs for me and were happy to do it. Did the job quickly and efficiently, and took boxes into the correct rooms on their own initiative. Did small things like fold their moving blankets as they went, which struck me as showing a high level of professionalism. Would absolutely use this company again, and would request David and Cree if possible!

We have had the pleasure of working with McGimpsey Brothers twice this month. Both times the service was outstanding. Dylan and Logan went above and beyond, far surpassing our expectations. They were skilled, professional, and had a fantastic attitude when presented with challenges. We couldn't have been happier. Yesterday Dylan returned, this time with Jake, to complete our furniture order and once again we were beyond pleased with the entire service. These lads know what they are doing, and are an absolute pleasure to work with. 5 stars all the way, we recommend McGimpsey Brothers unreservedly.
