Storebox's customer service is abysmal – customer service is nonexistent – Storebox terminated our long-term contract without notice, even though we had already paid for it.We rented a storage unit in Aplerbeck on a long-term contract starting at the end of October 2025 (12 months in advance). Then, on June 30th, 2026, we suddenly received an email from the landlord stating that the location was closing and that we should vacate the unit as soon as possible.We began searching for a new unit. There are no suitable Storebox units available in the area.Just nine days later, on July 9th, we received another email. We were told to vacate the unit by July 12th?!There was no mention of a refund for the remaining rental fee. The landlord only demanded that we empty the unit.They collect the money for 12 months in advance and then, just three months before the end of the 12-month period, terminate the contract immediately and keep the money!... We would like a refund for the overpayment after the transaction is completed, or does Storebox simply keep it?Customer service and communication? Unfortunately, nonexistent. Therefore, we cannot recommend them.The storage units are also not the advertised dimensions; neither the height (at least 50-70 cm shorter than the stated 3 m) nor the depth and width are correct.Contacting the rental company is extremely difficult.They are not honoring agreements, but fortunately, we have kept all written correspondence as evidence.
