Great Cake, Shockingly Bad Customer Service We ordered two cakes for our children — the quality was good, but the experience was honestly shocking. Right from the start, we were told we’d get 5% off only if we left a 5-star Google review — before even receiving the cakes. When I pointed out how unethical that was, the staff shrugged it off: “No review, no discount.” It didn’t stop there. A day before pickup, we got a call saying our chosen marshmallow colour wasn’t available. When we asked to see the alternative, they sent a blurry photo in a plastic bag and made it seem like we had no choice. On collection day, they called again — this time saying they’d accidentally made vanilla instead of chocolate sponge, and asked if we were “okay” with it. When we raised concerns at pickup, the staff member blamed us for “agreeing” over WhatsApp — even though they were the ones who kept calling us. In the end, she walked off mid-conversation, leaving both cakes on the counter unsealed and without apology. Yes, the cake tasted fine — but the service was careless, defensive, and unprofessional throughout. The owners or management really need to step in and rethink how this shop treats its customers.
