It's a real shame. I've been in the brotherhood for almost 40 years, and it has truly been the most beautiful experience I've ever had. I've shared tears of joy and emotion with fellow members who have been there for years, but this year my tears have been of disappointment at being left out, unable to carry my Virgin after almost 40 years. After a change in leadership, the humanity and brotherhood that existed has completely disappeared. They always used to call the members to let them know about the sizing or send a group WhatsApp message or an email. According to them, they do it, but this year nobody contacted me. And I have to admit that I didn't call, but just in case anyone is interested, I was with my mother in the hospital, very ill, and honestly, it didn't occur to me to call since the brotherhood always notified them. My surprise when I called was to find a certain Sergio, who, by the way, is the least humane and most arrogant person I've ever met. Last year he called me in a haughty manner demanding payment for things that had been mistakenly recorded as up to date. Because of his arrogance and the fact that he was wrong, I have my doubts about the coincidence that after 40 years they've excluded me. I went in person to explain the situation and met a certain Pablo, who was of little help and didn't seem to empathize with my situation. For me, this year was more special than any other, since after the scare my mother and I had, I made a promise to carry the Virgin this year for her. I take this opportunity to thank the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre for giving me the opportunity to fulfill my penance. It's a shame that a brotherhood that should represent Love and Charity is in the hands of people like those I've mentioned. Goodbye to 40 years of tradition.
