Good communication and quick termination!
Storage unit fine, administrative processes lackingThe storage unit itself was fine for its purpose, and the rental itself was straightforward. However, things became truly disappointing at the end of the contract.Although I had uploaded the photos required for the deposit refund two weeks before the end of the contract, I received an automated email prompting me to do exactly that and threatening a contract extension. Upon my complaint, I was told the system was "proven in practice" – a statement that directly contradicts my experience. Effective automation should save customers time, not steal it. Especially given the hefty prices charged for renting storage units.The announcement that the refund of the deposit, which was initiated on a Friday, could take up to two business days is also outdated in the age of EU-wide real-time transfers.Conclusion: The core product is expensive but fundamentally usable, but the internal processes and customer communication are in dire need of improvement. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being unnecessarily frustrating and time-consuming.
Note that this is a monthly storage service (40ish euro) and not day rate storage for e.g. luggage.
