Not exactly easy to find. Our GPS didn't recognize the street. We had to navigate using Google Maps, but you can see the Okal flags from the main road for orientation...Very friendly welcome. We were able to look at all the rooms in detail. The ceiling height of 2.8 meters and the entire interior design are consistently modern and well-coordinated. It's very chic to look at, and you can also get an overview of the utility room.The rest is a matter of taste and depends on individual needs. We couldn't live our daily lives on this layout, but there are other Okal floor plans available.UPDATE: Why -2 stars?We bought in February 2023. Since we already had all the documents such as land registry, survey, utility company, etc., the start was quite quick, but then the architect's office got involved. The architect is very dedicated, but the Okal project management definitely isn't. Responses take weeks and aren't necessarily relevant to the question, especially when it comes to "on-site" matters, such as site preparation. According to... The Okal process must be coordinated exclusively with the Okal site manager. But that won't be appointed for weeks. In the meantime, we can't prepare anything on-site. There's definitely a missing link in the Okal process. But, as quoted in a phone call with project management, "Okal doesn't care."The meeting with the architect is incredibly thorough. The problem is that what was discussed and documented wasn't simply drawn up.The Okal planning protocol for the architect meeting isn't a protocol at all, since there's no way to write anything down. Information is only recorded either as numbers or by ticking boxes. An inquiry was submitted to Okal project management (April 5, 2023), and there has been absolutely no response so far (June 27, 2023).If there's even a single point the client wants documented, it can't be. The form cannot be altered.The client is responsible for approving the building plans, so it just goes around in circles if the draftsman doesn't deliver what was discussed. This is a huge waste of time – I don't know the intention behind it. We've been going around in circles for months (!) on completely unnecessary revisions.And you really have to be careful, because apparently even finalized plans are changed by the draftsman without any consultation or notification. So you always have to check everything and every page, because apparently you have nothing better to do. The architect certainly doesn't.And when you're finally done with the plans, then comes the technical review by Okal, which could still say "no, we're not doing that" or "extra costs."But by then the building permit application has already been submitted. And since the client is responsible for and has approved the plans, guess what? That's also a client problem, with client costs and client time lost.Anyone who thinks they can ask all of this beforehand via a special Okal request should be prepared to spend even more time and shouldn't expect the request to be answered adequately. Our architect eventually said we either have to keep waiting or take the risk. Because there's simply no guarantee of a response, nor is there a deadline for when they have to reply.And the "packages" are another problem. Okal likes to put together packages with price tags that are attached to the AzH (appendix to the house contract). The annoying thing is that you simply don't get an answer as to exactly what services are included in the package. You only find out the real house price after the selection process. The bank is "definitely not amused." Oh yes, and as long as the AzH isn't also from Okal, the price can still change. Prices quoted by the broker or others, or even prices communicated in writing, are at the level of guesswork. Sometimes the wrong price list is used, and then it's just the homeowner's problem again.We're still hoping to get a beautiful house, but the road there is incredibly difficult.

Never again with OKAL!!!I've been in my home for 10 months and still not all of the roller shutters are working. OKAL themselves show little to no interest in getting the roller shutters working.
Great place to buy your new home in Kaiserslautern!
Since we were in a hurry, we were glad we received a call back the day we sent the email inquiry and were able to schedule an appointment the very next day. The financier the company works with also contacted us that same day to explore our financing options. Mr. Lezius himself was truly friendly and did his best to find the perfect house for us. He even entertained our young daughter, who gets impatient quickly.
