The staff has been very friendly, and the space itself is dry, safe, and appears to be well-monitored at all times — which I truly appreciated. However, I was disappointed to find that my belongings were blocked by another customer’s items, stacked directly in front of my storage area. This made it nearly impossible for movers to access my things without navigating a dangerously narrow corridor. They had to carry pieces of a couch and a king-size bed on their shoulders, lifting them above the unsecured and unstable stack in front — which was both unsafe and unreasonable. When I confronted the staff about this, I was told that they have to use all the space available for storing. There was no attempt to apologize or offer a solution to resolve the issue on the spot.I rented this space expecting safe, organized, and fairly managed storage conditions. This situation felt unfair and stressful, and I believe it contradicts the expectation of having accessible use of the space I paid for.I’d like to return to this place in the future, but I do hope management can address this issue to ensure future clients are not put in a similar position.- Following the owner’s response below, I would like to add the following clarifications... - Dear Owner,Thank you for your response.First, I want to clarify that my review was based on facts and photos, not interpretations. I stand by what I shared, and I did so with the genuine intention of helping you optimise your business processes — not to diminish the value of your service or your team.To your points: 1. I was perfectly fine with storing my belongings in shared open space, as agreed. However, that should not mean that access becomes blocked or unsafe due to unsecured piles from other clients. The contract talks about safety (Provision no 2)2. Changing pick-up dates is contractually acceptable. Me extending twice brings money to your business, so I'm unclear why you felt the need to highlight this as a negative.3. I notified your team two hours before closing the day before pick-up, which I believe was sufficient time to remove the obstructions in front of my belongings.4. On the day of the move, your warehouse manager had to first spend time moving two cars that were also blocking access — something I paid movers to wait for. Then, although we clearly expressed that it was unsafe to move the crumbling pile of supermarket bags in front of my things, he attempted to shift them anyway, which cost us additional time. When he offered to wait an additional half-hour for better access, I declined — not out of impatience, but because the movers had other clients on their agenda for the day. So we had to proceed in extremely constrained conditions, requiring movers to carry large pieces like a couch, books shelf and king-size bed mattresses above shoulder height, over an unsecured pile. Had it been your team lifting heavy furniture in those circumstances, I’m confident you would have found it unacceptable too.5. I’m not questioning your pricing or the concept of shared space — I’m questioning the operational decision to allow clients to stack fragile, collapsing supermarket bags instead of stable, secured boxes on pallets. If the two unstable pallets blocking my belongings had been packed properly, moving them would have taken three minutes.6. Also, when a client shows up for pickup, clearing their access should be standard procedure — not only as a matter of courtesy, but as a smart system that avoids frustrating your customer or increasing their costs due to delays.I’m disappointed that my feedback was taken personally. I still appreciate your team and the monitored space, and I wish you continued success. I only hope this experience can serve as input for improved client experience going forward.Best regards, Cassandra
