I run a small online store, and renting a warehouse has solved a major space problem for me. Previously, I kept everything in my apartment, which was completely impractical. Now I have constant access to my goods, couriers can easily come by, and I come every day for an hour or two to manage shipments. I especially appreciate not having to sign a lengthy contract like with a traditional warehouse. The only downside is that it's cold inside in the winter, so packing parcels can be less convenient, but you get used to it.

I used self-storage during my move, and it was a really good move. I rented a container for a month because the renovations to my new apartment were taking too long and I had nowhere to store my furniture. Everything was dry, clean, and safe, which was most important to me. The 24/7 accessibility was a big plus; I stopped by several times late in the evening to pick up something. The only downside was having to organize everything logistically, including transport and carrying, but other than that, it was a very convenient solution and definitely less stressful than storing stuff after friends.
