UPDATE 27-03-2026 Looking for storage? Stay away. Many storage units suffer from dampness or leaks. The caretaker stands on the roof with a blowtorch without any fire safety measures, supposedly to 'repair' the roof.My insurance company found this far from pleasant news. Furthermore, nobody cares what happens there.After the first report of a leak, they acted as if I were crazy. It was my fault; I wasn't ventilating well enough. Now, more than a year later, it turns out that multiple units and people are already suffering from this. So it was already known that the roofs were in poor condition.Owners just keep complaining that everything costs money and place all the blame on the HOA. They take 0 responsibility towards the tenants themselves. Meanwhile, the tenants are expected to incur costs just to salvage their own belongings to some extent.I am glad I will be out of here in 2 weeks. Did I receive any compensation for the costs incurred? Certainly not.

Nice complex, it's a bit of a shame that after 15 months you get an energy bill (at one of the many investment properties) that's a complete shock. Making money is fine, but then there are absurd costs on top of that, that's another matter. And then they say, "Oh, too bad, your contract has been automatically extended by a year." So you still have to see it through. Duzzs, the moral of this story: Read your contract carefully before signing. Unfortunately, I neglected to do so; something about being too trusting.
