Thank you Swallowfields Self Storage Ltd. for storing and looking after my Sisters furniture for 8 months from December 2024 very cold and wet to August exceptionally hot. My Sister is 85 years old lady who lived in her previous property for 56 years so moving was extremely stressful for her. And now to trust complete strangers with her precious belongings was mind blowing she was extremely frightened at what condition they would be in on there return. We had no idea at the time how long we would have to use the storage units we thought maximum 3 months. My Sister or I had never in our lives used storage units she never needed to and I had family to rely on. Fortunately the gentlemen I delt with Billy was extremely professional but sympathetic, kind and understanding reasuring us that we could visit the site when ever we liked to look in the units take items out etc.etc. Every month I would pay over the phone and he would spend a good 15 minutes chatting to me asking how things were going along, what a genuine kind man. I trusted Billy so much that I never set foot in the premises until the day we collected the furniture and to our delight everything was perfect. So a BIG THANK YOU Swallowfields you are totally to your WORD... may I just add Billy, what can I say a BRILLIANT BUSINESS MAN, PROFESSIONAL, KIND, UNDERSTANDING AND TRUE TO HIS WORD. THANK YOU from two happy grateful old ladies!!

Absolutely brilliant to deal with, really nice new clean and secure shipping containers and never had any issues with access or anything, would highly recommend hiring a container as we had a lot of furniture and household stuff we needed to store for a couple of years and this was ideal. We have had our possessions in storage with Swallowfield's for two and a half years and have been delighted with the service; we really cannot recommend them highly enough.Billy, who runs the facility, is kind, helpful, and attentive. He is not pushy at all, but gives sound, well-reasoned recommendations and advice. In our case, as our requirements changed from needing a small storage area for a few months to storing an entire home for two years, Billy made it easy to discuss what we needed and when, helping us put a plan in place that gave us peace of mind. The administration systems that Billy uses are very well-organized and offer clarity and transparency that we have appreciated – clear, accurate, and timely billing; affordable and flexible insurance; and a key holding service.The containers are well-maintained and fully weatherproof. Their layout makes it possible to drive right up to the front door of your storage space, so loading in/out is a doddle. There is plenty of space in the yard for larger vehicles – we have had removals trucks on site – with easy manoeuvrability. Despite being a little off the beaten track, they are easy to find and have good access roads. The site feels very secure with good fences and plenty of CCTV cameras. The front gate is secured with an electronic code gate that allows for 24/7 access (it is, after all, your stuff); the customer-specific code identifies who has been coming and going.Overall, it has been very reassuring to have Swallowfield's look after our belongings, allowing us to focus on the other things occurring in our life, knowing our treasures were in safe hands.
