I booked both a van and a storage unit through City Warehouse. I didn't notice an ongoing offer that would be available if you booked both through them, and it wasn't mentioned. I noticed the offer when I went to the warehouse and sent an email. I was eventually promised "a refund (with a promo code) when renting the next van or storage unit". No validity period was given for using this. 6 months later I was rebooking both the storage unit and the van and tried to use the code given. The code didn't work/wasn't valid. I immediately reported that I couldn't use the promised code when booking and that for this reason I was taking the booking on an invoice, assuming that the discount could still be added to the invoice. I received an email that the matter was being investigated. There was no response for a few days, so I asked about it again. In the end, after having to write the same things repeatedly, the matter was just "under investigation". Finally, I got a response that the refund could no longer be added to the invoice but that the matter was "still under investigation". Finally, I got a response that they could give a new "10€ refund for the next reservation, valid for 1 month".In addition, this second time, the car I had reserved was not even there when I picked it up. I was not informed of any change in the car. I had to contact customer service about the matter myself by phone, which was not a free call either.I would not have given this even one star, but I could not have left feedback without it.I definitely will not recommend city storage/escape door in the future.
