In 2022, I rented a garage from Theo, with a six-month contract. When I finished my project after three months, I wanted to discuss the possibility of terminating the contract. I managed to reach a deal, but with some difficulty. I lost almost €200 myself. The owner is very business-oriented and has little understanding of changes in direction or empathy for how things can change. In 2023, I called again to rent a garage. He said he wasn't comfortable with the previous experience and that this wasn't the way things work. There was a garage available for people who also wanted to get out of their contracts. I suggested I pay these people their rent so I could use an empty garage. No... this wasn't the way things work either. He said he would think about it and call back himself. The answer was that he had already found someone else for the garage and that there was nothing available at the moment. (The website claims to be up-to-date and shows multiple available garages.) In short, he doesn't have the courage to simply say he's not interested in a "flexible, younger" tenant who changes his plans every night.A cold-blooded businessman, lacking empathy, and very poor communication skills. He just wants people to sign annual contracts so he can get rich without too much hassle. If this is your thing, it's a top-notch location to rent. If you want to be treated more respectably and need customized storage, then look elsewhere!
