I have rented a car to move my stuff to a storage unit, a day before moving my stuff at 5pm they called me and told me that they're closed on the day i am planning to be there. I cancelled and rebooked a car for the day after. I had an online invoice cost estimate of 17 Euro, after driving from Utrecht to there they said there is a 25 Euro admin fee + 5 euro for a lock that is only usable at their branches. Well i cancelled my bookings. It is very unprofessional to get customers to come to your store with a car full of stuff and tell them that you have hidden fees.
Thomas picked up our overflow call which was meant for Nieuwegein. In the end I was happy he did. I had been trying to reach the Nieuwegein location by email and phone for quite some time and even though other locations politely answered my previous calls, none of them went through the trouble like Thomas did. He listened to the problem at hand and instead of just listening he offered solutions. He asked me to forward my original email to him so he could make sure the email I had entered was correct and he again could forward it. As I called from the US, he requested a call back on by behalf and to be absolutely certain Shurgard would be able to reach me, Thomas tried calling me back first before sending out the internal message. He then took the time to email Nieuwegein and copy me on the explanation/request to contact me. Thomas with an "H" was extremely kind, patient and helpful. He took the time to make sure the issue got in front of the person who needed to hear it. Thomas his care and diligence is what the world needs more of.
The worst customer service ever. I have never been to such a horrendous place. I do not recommend. They send non stop emails after each other.
