I was supposed to pick up my things in the basement of Aalborg Box, but ended up getting locked in for 40 minutes... I arrived at the storage room, entered my code and the garage door opened. I picked up my moving boxes, talked to my mother on the phone and heard another person entering the basement. When I was going to go out with my things, that person had closed the garage door by entering their code, outside the basement room. I couldn't get out because there is no emergency button, nowhere to enter any code and I pulled a cord on the garage door, but nothing happened. My mother called Aalborg Box customer service, a lady answered the phone and my mother explained the situation, but there wasn't much help to be had. She suggested that I pull the cord, which didn't work, then she said that I should walk around and find a place where you could enter a code and that she could call back if that didn't work. There was no place to enter a code, so my mother had no choice but to drive 40 minutes from home to enter the code outside the basement. My mother called Aalborg Box customer service back and said that I was still locked in the basement, where she didn't know how to get out. I noticed a phone number for Gate Service and called them. I spoke to a man who said that I should just enter the code again, I said that it was a bit impossible when the keypad is outside the basement. He said that it wasn't that smart and that I couldn't get someone to drive over and let me out. I am very disappointed with my experience at Aalborg Box. If I hadn't had my mobile on me, I would have been locked in the basement for I don't know how many hours, which is scary to think about. The worst thing is that there is no escape route, that there is not enough fire safety, other than a mini powder extinguisher. I cannot recommend this depot.
